When I got my car I didn't look closely at information technology and actually thought it was a vent, and I was thinking "wow, a vent almost the shifter to keep my hand prissy and warm while shifting....this thing just oozes luxury!" Simply nope, it's for 75 cents worth of pocket change that I never plan on carrying in the first place.

The consoles are the same on RHD vs LHD cars but the parking restriction location is swapped. On RHD cars that bare is where the parking brake is and vice versa.

I'k not sure information technology's for quarters. It is a vent of some sort. It is not sealed. If you look at it closely with a flashlight you tin can meet slit openings at the bottom and some sort of mesh over the openings. Those seem like very odd features to put in the bottom of coin slots.

I tried putting coins in once, in the first manly turn they were flying all over through my car. That thing is i of the just ii things that are bad or at to the lowest degree not adept on the S4. The other 1 is the automatic high-beams.
I take thought about using that infinite for something different, but I oasist had a expert idea then far.

Which would you rather accept, a filler panel that looks like a blank button or a filler panel that looks like a vent and if pressed on why no air comes from it you can fall back to "coin holder"?

For some reason I never had to think about it, from day 1 I put quarters into it.
Very handy for tolls, or simply having your quarters set bated if you want change for a bulldoze-thru window or something.
I guess I like it (there's no tolls in my land though) but I'd mount some sort of a switch/knob there in a heartbeat if I needed access to one
